World Series Field
at Heritage Park
aren't made of gold,
but we hope to help
pay for them by
selling a little
gold.
Gold-plated coins
commemorating the
“Light Up the
Series” effort that
will light up the
Junior League World
Series in August are
being sold for $20
each.
Each of the coins
is numbered and has a grooved edge like
a quarter. One side has an artist’s
rendering of World Series Field and
“1981,” the year the series started. The
other side has a rendering of baseball
field lights.

Admission - The ticket price to
the Junior League World Series is a modest $5.00
per day per car or $10.00 per car for the entire
series. Both fees include parking
2008 World Series
The tournament will begin
on Sunday, August 10th and the
Championship will be determined on
Saturday, August 16th. Again this
year ESPN TV will be taping the
Championship Game for delay viewing.
To date, teams have come
from 27 different states, Belgium,
Canada, Czech Republic, Germany, Guam,
Mexico, Panama, Poland, Puerto Rico,
Russia, Saipan, Saudi Arabia and
Venezuela.
The Series is played
at beautiful Heritage Park on Pardee
Road between Goddard and Northline, Home
of Taylor South Little League.
Heritage Park is just six miles from
Detroit Metropolitan Airport and a short
distance from both I-75 and
I-94.
Ample motels,
restaurants, churches and shopping malls
are in the immediate area.
